What is the difference between AHRI Certified Reference Number and Old AHRI Reference Number?
Some records have both an Old AHRI Reference Number and AHRI Certified Reference Number. When the AHRI Directory of Certified Product Performance moved to its new database structure, for technical reasons, new reference numbers had to be assigned to some records that were already AHRI-certified. In this case, the Old AHRI Reference Number is the reference number the record had before AHRI introduced the new database. If a record does not have an Old AHRI Reference Number, then the reference number of that record did not change or the record was AHRI-certified after the new database was introduced.

Directory search functions are designed to recognize both Old AHRI Reference Numbers and AHRI Certified Reference Numbers. Additionally, AHRI Certificates of Product Ratings display both the Old AHRI Reference Number and AHRI Certified Reference Number. Old AHRI Reference Numbers will eventually be removed from the database and all users will be expected to search by AHRI Certified Reference Number.
